CBD for Stress Problems

According to the data, almost half of the world’s population has frequent problems with stress. The same probability as a coin tossed in the air and that, when it comes up tails, it implies serious problems for the affected person.

Whether due to work, family, or social problems, stress can enter our lives almost without us realizing it and stay there until it becomes chronic. Of course, we can resort to medications such as Xanax or Prozac; but why not try to alleviate the symptoms with natural remedies?

Among them, CBD has shown its ability to greatly reduce stress without adverse side effects. A natural substance, without the need for a prescription, that we can easily find online here, legally and safely in our country. A risk-free way to test the properties of this plant-based compound.

Where does CBD come from?

Officially known as cannabidiol, CBD is part of the cannabinoid family. It is one of the hundred or so different cannabinoids that can be found in the hemp plant. Once extracted from the plant, CBD is a colorless crystalline structure at room temperature in its purest form. CBD can be derived from either the hemp plant or the hemp plant. Both are strains of the hemp plant, however, CBD derived from the hemp plant tends to be more potent and effective than that of the hemp plant.

CBD is known to have benefits in relieving pain, stress, anxiety, or seizure disorders among other potentially beneficial effects. And it has also been proven that this cannabinoid does not have psychotropic effects, such as those associated with others like THC.

Can CBD be used to combat stress?

Being under stress on a daily basis can jeopardize our social life and affect our mental and physical health in the long run. CBD oil is a natural way to reduce the daily stress that prevents us from living our daily lives better. This property has been studied extensively over the past few years.

A 2010 study showed that CBD helps reduce anxiety in people with a social anxiety disorder or SAD. This study found that CBD not only helped reduce the actual anxiety but also changed the initial brain reaction to that anxiety. Brain scans showed changes in blood flow patterns in brain regions associated with stress and anxiety.

Similarly, a 2011 international study found that CBD reduced social anxiety induced by potentially stressful events such as having to speak in public.

A 2014 research study by Brazilian institutions found that CBD oil in adequate doses had similar effects to antidepressants and anxiolytics.

In 2015, an analysis conducted by New York Medical School showed that CBD continued to reduce stress and social anxiety in the medium to long term. The study allowed qualifying CBD as a potential treatment for anxiety disorders effective even in chronic patients of this ailment. These disorders can include SAD, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and generalized anxiety disorder.

And one of the most recent, a 2016 research from the University of Colorado, studied the effectiveness of CBD specifically on PTSD and insomnia. What they found was that CBD significantly reduced PTSD-induced anxiety and helped achieve a healthy sleep pattern in the patients investigated.
